You will arrive to the rooms through an elegant staircase inside the building, and from the common room you will have access to the panoramic terrace from which you can enjoy a beautiful view over the lake and the historic centre of Castiglione del Lago.
The hotel name is due to Vittoria Aganoor, one of the most important poetess of the last century, who fell in love with Lake Trasimeno and one of its most famous personality, Guido Pompilj. In order to keep alive the connection with this important heritage, the rooms were recently renovated, combining practicality and comfort with an elegant Liberty-style of the early 1900s.
Hotel Aganoor is the ideal starting point for visiting the beauties of Umbria and Tuscany. From Castiglione del Lago, it is also easy to arrive to the boarding points for Isola Polvese, a natural park with evocative views, and for Isola Maggiore with its ancient fishing village.

All the rooms have a breath-taking view: some overlook Lake Trasimeno while others overlook the center of Castiglione del Lago.
The rooms, ideal for both couples and families, are equipped with every comfort: private bathroom, air conditioning/heating, hairdryer, courtesy set, mini-bar, safe, television and wi-fi.
The hotel is located on the second floor of a charming 18th century building which, until a few decades ago, belonged to one of the most important families in the area. An elegant internal stone-staircase reaches the rooms.
The hotel’s common room offers guests a lovely relaxing area with comfortable sofas and a tea corner. From here, you can access the panoramic terrace which offers an unique view of Lake Trasimeno, the medieval fortress and the entire historic centre of the town.
The public and free parking lots are located about 100 meters from the hotel, just outside the walls of the historic center – you can still access the “limited traffic area” for loading/ unloading your luggage.
